Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to apply for 2 weeks leave in month of June to attend special family event back in India. I understand this is long period off work hence I am applying in advance so my work can be better managed in my absence.
My grandparents are celebration their 50th wedding anniversary and we are arranging surprise celebration for them. This is also an opportunity for all family members to get together for spend some time with each other.
I would like to apply for at least 2 weeks off so I can help my cousins make arrangement for this occasion and spend some time with my family.
I am planning to clear majority of my backlog items before June. Some items may need to be picked up for which I already started involving Beth in these activities, so she can also have enough time understanding what work has been done so far and we have smooth transition of duties.
Kindly consider this letter as official leave application. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely
Gunjan
