Dear sir, Greetings of the day. I am glad that I have been selected to serve the organization as a result of our fruitful interaction during the interview. However, I am writing this letter to explain my helplessness for not joining the job as per stipulated date mentioned in the offer letter which falls on 17th sept 2016. I was suffering from the fever and stomach-ache since last few days so have been advised for the blood report by my physician. Today, when I received my blood report with the diagnoses of typhoid. Based on the blood report, I have been guided to hospitalised right away that didn' t allow me a time to meet you in person and to explain about the circumstances. As per the doctor' s opinion, my disease will be cured in a span of 15 days which seems that I will be able to join my duties by 1st october 2016 instead of 17th Sept 2016. I would request you to extend my date of joining on the ground of health reason. Here, enclosed are the reports of diagnosis along with the medical certificate by the doctor for your kind perusal.
