Dear Mr Ryan Lee, I regret to inform you that I cannot attend your farewell party which, you are organizing, on the 31st of August. According to company policy I have to carry out a quality check and perform an audit of inventory at the factory at the end of every month. Since I will be occupied the whole day I will not be able to make it back in time for the party. However, let me tell you about the good memories we had. Firstly, you never hesitated to help me even though you were senior in position. Secondly, you have amazing management and teamwork skills, which helped us onboard many important projects and also gave us exposure in client facing roles. Lastly, You have been more like a friend than a colleague and I am deeply saddened to see you leave. All the stressful yet fun times we had together will be greatly missed. Therefore, I am looking forward to continuing our friendship and staying in contact. Please save my personal mobile number (987654321) and email address - marysmith@yahoo. com. In addition, I hope we do not break our tradition of going out for dinner every Friday after work. Thank you for your contribution and wishing you all the best for your future endeavors. Yours Faithfully, Mary Smith
