Dear John, As you know, I have been going through a difficult divorce with my spouse for almost a year and it has had an adverse influence on my mood and even overall physical well-being. So, traveling abroad appears to be a right thing to do to switch my attention from problems to positive prospects. In addition, I have an idea to start a new business with a Chinese firm and visiting the state provides me with an indispensable opportunity to meet face-to-face with my partners. I would like you join me because of your knowledge of Chinese language. Although it is possible to find a good translator in China, I cannot trust blindly to a person whom I don’t know well. Moreover, you have not had a holiday for almost five years by now and having some rest and fun overseas will surely have an advantageous impact on you. I promise the majority of our time would be devoted to a variety of local entertainment. I plan to arrive at Beijing airport on 2nd March 2017. It will be a Friday evening; so, there will be a plethora of time to acclimatize and adapt to a novel time zone as well as overcome a jet lag. I intend to spend four days in the megalopolis and three days on visiting such places as the Great Wall of China that are situated outside the city. I will not go into details because I assume you are well-aware of the local landmarks and attractions. Hope you’ll accept my invitation. Sincerely yours, Eugene Dubinchuk.
