The given maps illustrate the developments that occured at the seaside resort of Templeton from 1990 to 2005. According to the maps, in 1990 the seaside resort was much greaner rural area with many trees, detached houses, public facilities such a school, hospital and railway station, but during the next 15 years this place witnessed dramatic changes. The most noticable is that almost all of trees were chopped down, small houses were demolished and replaced by multi-storey apartment blocks. Moreover, a new industrial estate with factory, supermarket and airport sprang up there. Only a few trees near the lake were left. The railway way lengthened and it was located along the coastline. Another interesting development was construction of ferryfonth of the railway station. Overall, there was a complete transformation of the seaside resort of Templeton, from a rural to a mainly urban area.
