The following bar chart gives statistics showing the aspects of quality of life in five countries.
The following chart illustrates four main indicators that determined the quality of life of people in five different countries in 1982. Overall what stands out from the chart is that the USA had higher standard of living compared to the rest. To begin, the USA, the developed country, constituted the highest GNP at 13160 per head, whereas infant mortality rate was the lowest at 12 per 1000 live birth as opposed to the remaining nations. In addition, daily calorie supply and life expectancy were markedly higher than others. The range of scales of Bolivia, Egypt and Indonesia were quite similar. Egypt topped the lists among the three measures with the exception on infant mortality rate at 97 that was considerably lower than the Bolivia at 124. Turning to Bangladesh, the developing country recorded the lowest quality of life. Regarding GNP, it was noted one hundred times smaller than the USA' S. Its calorie requirement was approximately a half of the USA. However, infant mortality ratio was 10 times greater than the industrialised state.
