This table illustrates the percentage of expenditures in three areas (food/drink/tobacco, clothing/footwear and leisure/education) in five countries (Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey) in 2012. Overall, citizens of all listed countries spent considerably more amount of money on food, drink and tobacco then on leisure and education. In addition, Turkey had a higher spending in every category than others countries in 2012. With regards to food, drink and tobacco consumption, Turkey and Ireland held leading position (about 30%) and outnumbered Sweden and Italy almost twice. In terms of clothing and footwear category, there were more spending in Italy (9%). Ireland, Sweden and Turkey spent around 6, 5%, and the least amount of money spent in Spain 5. 4% in the given year. The smallest expenditures were in leisure/education area. Most of all spent Turkish 6. 63% on the contrary to Spanish and Irish, who were spending just 1. 98% and 2. 21% retrospectively. Citizens of Italy and Sweden were in the middle and spent the similar percentage of expenditures about 3. 3% each.
