The table illustrates the percentage of expenditure on three categories in five nations in 2002. Overall, five national customers spent the highest amount of money on food and tobacco. It is also clear that leisure and education category has the lowest proportions in the table. The proportion of expenditure on food and tobacco reached the peak at 32. 14% in turkey compare to a slightly lower figure in Ireland, at nearly 29%. The percentage of expenditure on leisure/education was also the highest in turkey, at 4. 35%, while customer spending on clothing/footwear was significantly higher in Italy, at 9. 00%, than in any of other countries. However, out of the five countries, expenditures on food/drinks/tobacco and clothing/footwear were the lowest in Sweden at 15. 77% and 5. 5%, respectively. Spain had inconsiderably higher figures for these categories, but the lowest proportion for leisure/education, at only 1. 98%.
