The drawing compares how people live in different types of houses in three particular states of Australia (Victoria, Northern Territory and Tasmania) between 2001 and 2006. Overall, most Australian prefer to live in houses which remained stably the highest percentage throughout the period. As can be seen from the table, the number of people, who choose to live in house in Tasmania, accounted the highest percentage at around 89 percent over 6 years of the period that were higher than in The Northern Territory by approximately a quarter (65 percent and 63 percent, respectively). Moreover, the choices of semi-attached house was the most common in the Northern Territory at about 14 percent during the period; conversely, the opposite was true in Tasmania which just reported at 3 percent in 2001 and 4 percent in 2006. Turning to the data of people who lived in flat/apartment, there was a similar trend at approximately 9 percent throughout the recorded period between Victoria and Territory. Meanwhile, some people enjoyed to live in other types which was described at 14 and 11 percent, respectively, from the first year to the last year of the period.
