Overall, it is clear that the category of both water supply and sanitation experienced a growing trend from 1980 to 1990, and the proportion of water supply in urban areas was higher than the one in rural areas. To begin with, 70% was recorded in the water supply of urban areas in 1980, it went up 1% in 1990. The change in the water supply of rural area was dramatical, climbing from 28% in 1980 to 45% in 1990. Turning to the figure for sanitation. 59% was depicted in urban areas in 1980, in the ensuing decade, it only increased by 2%.
