The bar chart shows the results of a survey conducted by a personnel department. The survey was carried out on two groups of workers: those aged 18-30 and those aged 45-60, and shows factors affecting their work performance. v. 1
The graph compares two age groups in terms of 10 factors they think affecting their performance at work. It is clear that the majority of younger workers think chance to improve themself is the most important factor. Additionally, except for four factors, which is personal development, working environment, job security and promotion, two groups' opinions are relatively similar. Over 90% of people aged between 18 and 30 years old believe that self development is the most important, while only 40% of 40-to 60-year-olds agree. Two other factors that popular among young workers are relaxed working environment and promotion prospects, at 80% each, compared to only around 40% of older workers think that they are important. More than 60% people at work believe that team spirit and money affect work performance. Meanwhile, only 50% workers all ages think competent boss and job satisfaction are vital. It is interesting to note that while only 20% of people aged 45 to 60 consider job security as important to work performance, the proportion of young people concern about that factor is doubled, at 40%.
