These two charts show the expenditure on fast food by three income groups in Britain and the trends in consumption of fast food between 1970 and 1990. - Overall, high income and average income groups' expenditure on fast food which the biggest part was hamburgers. In contrast, low-income group most likely spend on fish and chips while fish and chips were the least significant part of high-income groups. The consumption of hamburgers and pizza have a rises of grams and the fish and chips have a fluctuation of grams. - Expenditure on hamburgers made up the biggest part by high income and average income group which accounted for about 45% and about 33% respectively. In contrast, expenditure on pizza made up the least part by average income and low-income groups which made up about 12% and 7% only. Fish and chips were the most significant part of expenditure by low-income group was 17%. - consumption of hamburgers was below 100 grams, being higher than pizza by approximately 40 grams. Then, it rose to almost 550 grams in 1900. There was a sharp growth of comsumption of hamburgers. Pizza was in the same way, at the beginning of the period consumption was only 60 grams and at the end of the period consumption was grow to almost 300 grams. In constrast, consumption of fish and chips were steadily falls, the figures from about 300 grams in 1970 fall to 240 grams in 1990.
