Following your offer, I discussed the situation with my manager and requested to plan for my release in next month but when Tom (my manger) talked to senior HR manager about my replacement, he expressed that suitable replacement may take time as company has stopped the recruitment for this quarter.
As I explained in interview that critical work is being done by me and team and since I am leading the project, it may jeopardize the success of the project. Today morning, I was called by Vice president and he not only requested me to stay back but also elaborated the future plan of project and my career.
Though I have no obligation to withdraw the resignation, I feel that all my departure at this junction may wash out all hard-work done by me and team. Thereby, I decided to stay-back at current organization.
I truly understand your positon but I hope that you would also appreciate the decision which I have taken in favor of company. I apologize for inconvenience caused and hope to work with you and your company in future.
