The given chart depicts the percentage of British citizens contributing money towards charity during 1990 and 2010, grouped by age. There are five age groups out of which only two increased their presence in the charity from 1990 to 2010, which were 51-65 years and over 65 years. Out of the total population of these groups, 35% and 32% respectively gave to charity in 1990 which increased to 39% and 35% respectively in 2010. The age section of 18-25 years saw the biggest dip in the percentage of people contributing to charity from 17% to a mere 6%. The percentage of persons in the age group 26-35 and 36-50 giving money to charity decreased from 31% and 42% in 1990 to 24% and 35% in 2010. The maximum increase in the proportion of people lending to charity was seen in age group 51-65, which upped their numbers from 35% in 1990 to 39% in 2010. So, to conclude, the proportion of people contributing to charity decreased in three out of five age sects mentioned from what it was in 1990 to 2010.
