The given table illustrates the proportion of average calories in the United States in the three different periods (1970, 1990 and 2010) In summary, the proportion of calories were increasing in all categories without Dairy and Vegetable. The total of all calories increased over a period of time. Moreover, Fruit provided law calorie compared to the other sources. According to the table, the total calorie was 2165 in 1970 and it increased and reached 2665 during the sixty years. In 1970, Meat, Eggs and Nuts provided the highest calorie compared to the other sources of calorie, while, Fruit given only 70. After twenty years, the highest calorie was provided by Gains (575); whereas, 260 and 125 calories were given by Dairy and Vegetable respectively. In 2010, the total calorie increased significantly, but only two sources (Dairy and Vegetable) declined. Added Fat provided higher amount of calorie and it was 640, while, Added Sugar given 460. Fruit provided only 85.
