Dear Mr. and Mrs. John, I hope you are keeping well? . I am writing to acknowledge the receipt of your letter regarding the disturbance from my flat for the past three days. As you well know, the bathroom is on the first floor in the apartment and recently, I noticed a leak in my sitting room ceiling. The plumber has checked and found out that the bathroom pipe was broken and needed to be fixed urgently to avoid subsequent damage to the ceiling. Hence, the loud sounds coming from my apartment. The repairs were estimated to take at most three days but unfortunately, it is lingering longer than expected. I humbly wish to apologize for all the inconvenience the noise has caused you. I am also sorry for not contacting you before the commencement of the repairs to intimate you on what you might experience as a result. I have advised the plumber to work only in the mornings between the hours of 8 am-12pm when you will be at the office so as not to cause a nuisance when you are resting with your family.
