The diagram below shows the life cycle of the salmon.
The graph depicts the development life cycle of salmon in seven phases, starting from the egg to its adulthood. The first stage of salmon life cycle is when it puts its eggs in fresh water or rivers when they stay until hatch after three months. Once hatching, the baby salmon is called Alvein feeds off the yolk sac for several weeks. The third phase is fry which is now known as Parr, develops finger shaped marking. In the next stage, salmots which are one to three years old forms group and swim out to sea. Salmons become adult and stay in the sea for about one to eight years which they are ready to spawn. The final phase when the spawning salmon dies after two weeks. Their eggs in the fresh water hatch after three months and the life cycle is continued.
