The map shows the development of Meadowside village and Fonton which is a neighboring town, over three periods (1962, 1985, and the present). Overall, Meadowside village enlarges size and become Meodowside suburb connected to Fonton. In addition, there are a significant alteration in terms of amenities, infrastructure, and accommodation during the period. In 1962, there was only a completely area with no roads and rail crossing between Meadowside and Fonton –in the east of Meadowside village. Interestingly, not only did Meadowside village has the small road placed from the west to the northern Meadowside, there was also a rail line running through Fonton from eastern to the north-west of Fonton. Subsequently, in 1985, both village experienced a considerable enlargement in their areas’ size. Therefore, the small road in Meadowside transformed to the main road and also extended to the east connecting to Fonton. while housing estate and leisure complex were constructed in the western and the eastern village each, supermarket had been built in the southern village. Currently, Meadowside village –now a suburb– and Fonton are integrated. There were new business park, hotel and station positioned in the centre of those areas. The former constructed in the southern area although the two latter built in the northern area. Lastly, railway line has been elongated to the west associated with station.
