The line graph shows data about the population of four different types of turtles in India between the years 1980 and 2012. In general, it can be seen that there was a downward trend in the number of Leatherback Turtles, while that of Olive Ridley saw an opposite trend for the whole period. The proportion of both Green Turtles and all species of turtles fluctuated steadly from 1980 to 2012. According to the line graph, the figures for the Leatherback Turtles start at about 100 and was relatively stable over the last two decades, although there was a marginal soar from 1983 to 1987. After that, there was a significant decrease, this figure reached the lowest point at around 40 in 2012, making it the lowest for the given period. On the other hand, Olive Ridlye Turtles saw an opposite pattern to that of Leatherback Turtles, in fact the number of Olive Ridley Turtles increased gradually from to 1980 to 1996, then oscillated moderately until 2012, terminating at around 125. The data for both Green Turtles and all species of turtles remained approximately the same until 1986, by the following years there was a slight palpitation for both of them from 1987 to 2012, whereas the number of all species exceeded that of the Green Turtles by about 20.
