The chart below shows information about subway systems in three major European cities.
The table depicts details about three important subway systems in European cities. The mentioned parameters are length of the track, number of stations in operation and number of daily passengers. It is evident from the data that, London underground is the longest subway system in Europe featuring 408 km of total track length. Moscow metro comes second in line with 214 km of track and Paris metro is the shortest one with 214 km of track. On the contrary, Paris metro leading in front in terms of number stations, it has got more than one station in one kilometre radious (300). London metro has 275 stations in their network whereas, Moscow metro has least number of stations(182) under it' s belt. The passenger figures are showing a completely different pattern. Moscow metro is the most crowded one serving almost 6. 5 million commuters. Even though Paris has the shortest metro network among others but they comes second in terms it' s passenger numbers, which is 4. 5 million. London metro is only carrying 3 million passengers daily and it is the least popular metro network. In conclusion, each metro has their own strong hold in different areas. In term of track length London metro takes the lead, whereas, Paris metro accounted for most number of stations. Passenger figures shows that Moscow metro has the upper hand in that area.
