The chart below show information about honey-bee colonies and honey production in the US.
The charts give information about a number of honey-bee colonies and amount of honey production in US per decade between 1970 and 2010. Generally, a number of honey-bee colonies and amount of honey production were fallen over a 40-year period. However, there was an exception in 1980 which colonies grew up while honey production sharply dropped. Looking in more detail, it can be seen that, in 1970, there were 4 millions colonies which produced 130, 000 tonnes honey. During the next 10 years ones approximately went up to 4. 2 millions whereas the honey production decreased to 110, 000 tonnes. Interestingly, in 1990 when colonies fell to 3. 5 millions, honey production rose 120, 000 tonnes. Also, from 1990 to 2010, both colonies and honey exponentially went down in the United States. In a nutshell, we can conclude that honey-bee colonies fell surprisingly over the 40 years in which their productions were fluctuated, so it seemed there was not an exact relationship in their passed-time evolution.
