Additionally, the nation witnessed the most dramatic change in the rate for housing. In 1950, the percentage of housing cost was highest, at 72. 1 % of the total household expenditure, while the figure for food was significantly lower, at only 11. 2%. Meanwhile, the proportion of spending on education and healthcare and education accounted for 2. 4% and 6. 6% respectively, compared to 3. 3% of the total cost spent on transportation. In 2010, the proportion of expenditure on food experienced a significant increase to 34%, became the highest figure in the pie chart.
