Dear Sir or Madam,
I’m writing this letter concerning the closure of sports and leisure centre that my family and I have been using since several years. This news has come to us as a great shock since we always thought the centre is running successfully.
We had specific days fixed to visit the centre for several purposes. Firstly, my father used to go there every weekend to play billiards. Secondly, my siblings and I would visit the pool area every Sunday morning and have swimming competitions. Furthermore, I have seen young children come and play there as it was a source of social interaction with other kids and a secure place as well.
Centre’s like these are essential for the local community. People just can’t sit at home all day long and need to visit such places to stay fit. If the centre is closed, people will feel bound to their homes and the lack of physical activity will make them lazy. Moreover, young children and teenagers might fight other ways of staying busy which might not be beneficial for them, for example, playing video games or the fear of teenagers getting into drugs.
It’s a humble request to reconsider the decision and look into other ways of cost cutting.
Thank you,
Yours sincerely,
Abeera
