Dear Jay, Hi, how are you doing? I am glad that you are about to complete your schooling and thinking of future perspectives. I personally feel you should aim for jobs rather than university education. Let me share my experience with you! Just like you even I was interested in journalism and after my high school enrolled in a university. To be honest, even though I took admission in a top-notch college, I was not satisfied with the quality of knowledge gained as they focused more on theoretical subjects instead of practical experience. Landing yourself a job is the best feeling as you start earning and become independent. Moreover, as far as learnings are concerned, I am sure you would not regret taking a job. The exposure and experience one gets while working is incomparable. Besides that, interacting with professionals is the best way to enhance your skills. Considering your skill-set, I would recommend you to try your luck in the publications. The profiles offered there are enticing, even if not highly paid. Apart from that, news channels are a good choice to start with if money is your motive. Last but not the least, there is a opening in my organization, i’ll share the description, if you like forward me your resume. In case you have any doubt, feel free to contact me. Your friend, Ira
