Its often argued that media news are more towards problems and emergencies than the positive incidents. Some people feel that negative news may have adverse impact on the society. However I completely disagree with this as negative news cannot be ignored We observe that media give too much importance to the news such as crime and theft, as they easily capture attention of the viewer and make them aware of it. In my opinion, media being a popular source of conveying the problems to the society As a consequence of this many people unfortunately assume that only bad things take place around them and develop a perception of being unsafe. Eventually media focus reporting such news to urge public to take necessary safety precautions. Furthermore as media is a voice of public, its crucial to highlight the problems in the society. Additionally its also the responsibility of media to cover urgent emergencies like natural disaster which may aid in individuals protecting themselves. For the reasons mentioned above I believe that there is no harm to the society with the way media portray the problems and emergencies. It depends on every individual perspective of thinking to the problems
