Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter in reference to my current living arrangement in the university dormitory and how it is turning out to be quite problematic. I have been sharing a 2-BHK room in the DWR dormitory with a sophomore student from the Arksbury college of music for the past three months.
Unfortunately, I have been running into several issues with my roommate. Firstly, he does not maintain basic hygience and cleanliness, leaving the shared space in a complete mess. Secondly, he has been regularly smoking in his room, the vapors of which has been affecting me as I have a severe asthma problem. Finally, he has been accessing my room and taking stationary without my permission. While I have attempted to cordially raise these issues with him on several occasions, my words seem to be falling on deaf ears as he keeps repeating these patterns almost immediately.
Would it be possible to apply for a change in accomodation? I am willing to be flexible and move to either a smaller single bedroom in another dormitory or another shared space with a better roommate, though the former would be preferable. I will make sure to be minimally disruptive while moving and do so at a time that suits all the relevant parties.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Yours faithfully,
Saatvik Shah
