Dear Sir, I am writing with regards to student identification card which I lost two days back while traveling. I usually take public transport to reach the university and even checked with the lost goods services department, but could not find it anywhere. The identification card helps me in getting discounts in multiple places, which confirms I am a current university student. However, from past two days I have not been able to recharge my travel card and even facing issues in entering the university. Additionally, to apply for my transcripts and other official documents I would need to attach a copy of the card. I would kindly request you to issue a new card as the due date to apply for the final documents is next week. I have also attached my letter of acceptance, which has all the details, a student card should have. Furthermore, I would be happy to visit your office after the lecture tomorrow to pick the same.
