Dear sir/madam, I'm writing to inquire about the rumors of building a new shopping center in our neighbour. Couple of weeks ago while I was spending my evening in the golf club, I heard the waiters murmuring about leaving there jobs as soon as the new shopping centre will open! When I stopped one of them and asked for for information, he explained to me that the famous business man, Mr. Shukri, is planning to build a huge, one of it's kind, shopping center in our tremendous neighbour. While we campaign for new investments because it will create jobs and raise living standards, I personally oppose this project and encourage you, as a council, to put it's approval to a public debate. If this project got through, it will impose a huge risks in our peacfull area. Such a centre will attract teenagers with all theire noisiness, not to mention the center's late working hours will disturbe our calm nights. Therfore I request from your honored council more information regarding the actual benifits of this project, how many jobs will it creat? did the council provide any tax cuts for the developer to encourage him to build it in our neighbour? if there is any, for what period and what is your plan to raise taxes on the developer, and for how much? and finally, what is your plan to tackle the traffic jam the centre will create. Your sincerely Amr AlOmari
