I am writing in connection with the vacancy in the 8-week intensive tutoring training course for foreign learners offered by your college, as advertised in the Times on Monday of 14th October. In the first place, I chose this place because it is quite a famous university in the south of England, and I also want to take this opportunity to travel to a place far from my hometown. Besides, it brings me an opportunity to interact with friends from many countries, understand their culture, especially understand how foreigners work in teaching. In addition, I have approached English by myself for several years so that I will make it easier to study in a foreign environment. At present I am working as a teaching assistant for English centers in Vietnam, I deal with many types of students and am quite adept at understanding their psychology I believe that I am well-suited to a place in this course and I am keen to work in this field. However, I feel that I am still lacking in teaching methods, such as preparing lesson plans or stimulating students' interest in the teaching process. so I believe this accelerated course will provide me with what it takes to be a good tutor. I would appreciate a reply at your earliest convenience. Please contact me should you have any further information.
