Dear Mr. John, I am writing today to ask you to grant me time off from work as I am appearing for Masters in Logistics examinations which are due this month. A fortnight leave will give me a head start as I will have ample of time for preparation. First, I have to visit the university library and pick up syllabus material which will help me to enhance my understanding in the module. Next, I have to follow a schedule every day e. g. memorise principles and theories related to Mathematics, Supply chain management, Financial management and Business communications to get through in my assessments. Upon successful accreditation, my qualification will help to practice management techniques in the warehouse i. e. I will be able to avoid wastage by eliminating activities which are causing them. Added to this, I can help this company to manage inventory efficiently by ordering the required levels of materials only so that spoilage of perishable goods can easily be avoided. As a result of this, our business will be lucrative; which means, profits will rise as a result from reduced expenses. Faithfully, Jack Dan
