Dear Sam, How are you? I hope this letter meets you well and I hope you are enjoying the picturesque Malaysian landscape? Unfortunately, I have a bit of bad news. There has been a terrible storm. It's been raining heavily the last few days and last night was the worst. This morning the entire neighborhood woke up to tremendous flooding which has caused some damage to your house. I must inform you that parts of the house, especially the garage has been severely damaged as floating furniture and logs of wood seem to have broken through the wall on the left and many of the windows downstairs have been shattered. The garage door mechanism seems to have suffered some water damage as well. We await word from local authorities and relevant officials on what needs to be done with regards the flooding especially considering the power outage. For now I plan to salvage what I can from downstairs and move everything upstairs to one of the bedrooms.
