You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter: give details of your study plans explain why you want to get a part-time job suggest how your friend could help you find a job

Dear Rachel, Hope this letter finds you well. I am sorry for not writing to you earlier. I cannot begin to explain how difficult it was to prepare and to finally get admitted into the University of my dreams, The London School of Economics. I am extremely delighted to tell you that I have been admitted into a 1 year post-graduate course on Macro-economics. Fortunately, the university have agreed to provide me with free accomodation facilities within their premises. The course is designed to have 4 semesters with only 1 winter break. Intense, isn't it? However, we get 3 days a week off, instead of the usual 2. That's a bit relieving and will give me chance to do a part-time job. Sadly, despite my efforts, I was only able to obtain a partial scholarship, which covers only a portion of the course fees. Hence, I am planning to work part-time, to enable me to earn some money to cover my day-to-day expenses. I don't want to burden my parents anymore. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to be living in the same city as you. Since you have been living there for the past 5 years, I hope you can help me secure a suitable job. Do you remember that the last time we spoke, you told me about a Head-hunter you were in contact with, when you were switching jobs. Maybe you could introduce me to her and then she can help me. I hope to see you soon! Looking forward to hearing back from you. With Love, Monica Geller
