Dear Sir, I am writing to convey my concern of the accumulation of waste and also the management and methods of waste disposal in our local park. To begin, waste management is a vital aspect of a health conscious society, the neglect is unavoidably disastrous to health of people. It has become a subject of immense worry the effects of the poor waste management on residents around the local park; the trash cans are overflowing with dirts, spoiled, rottening foods, empty water and beverage cans to rubber bags. When it rains the waste flows into the walkways, roads and drainage systems causing blockage of free water movement. Not to mention the area has inevitably become a breeding ground for snakes, rodents and mosquitoes. The unpleasant smell from the waste makes the park quite uncomfortable to spend ones leisure time. This dire situation has quickly emanated into an environmental hazard. With respect to the declined situation, a regular disposal of the waste bins at least three times daily is required. Furthermore, residents should be properly educated on their attitude to waste disposal, also strict sanctions should be put in place against defaulters. I look forward to a prompt response.
