You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture. Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter introduce yourself explain what is wrong with the furniture say what action you would like the landlord to take

Dear Mr. Jake, I am Jane Fonda, living in the rented apartment 2A. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with some of the furniture available to us. When we moved in, we noticed the main couch, in the living room, to have stains and some burn marks (possibly left by previous renters). Some of the chairs around the dining table are also wobbly. We can not have any guests over as the couch is the first thing they see while walking into the apartment. It appears untidy and unhygienic. We also fear sitting on the dining table chairs as we don't know when they could fall apart! I suggest you could replace the couch for us and schedule an appointment with a carpenter to come to fix the chairs as well. Another alternative would be, to move us into another rental flat as we cannot stay here. I hope you take my complaint into action. Yours Sincerely, Jane Fonda

move
us into another rental flat as we cannot stay here.

I hope you take my complaint into action.

Yours
Sincerely
