Dear John,
How are you doing? I hope that you and your family will be fine during this harsh time of Covid. Due to the pandemic, I came back to live with my parents at my hometown and the last few months have been crazy for us since there were some cases positive to virus in my town. So, I’m writing this letter to tell you about some changes in my local area during the pandemic.
The first and most obvious change is that people are out on the streets a lot less than before. To avoid contact with others, they are advised to stay indoors and only go out if necessary. Schools are closed and teaching is online. Restaurants and cafes are not allowed to eat directly, but only take away. Moreover, people's habits have been changed dramatically. Many people have to give up the habit of shaking hands when meeting to avoid spreading the disease. Those who used to get up early to run and exercise now have to switch to exercising at home. People also have a healthier diet, with the desire to increase resistance to be able to fight the virus. In addition, instead of going to the market every day to buy fresh food for cooking, people are now only allowed to go to the market on fixed days of the week to limit the gathering of people. Although these may seem inconvenient, I think they all are necessary to protect the health of each individual and the whole community.
How about you? Tell me about life where you live during the pandemic. Hopefully one day, when the pandemic is over, we will meet again. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Best regards,
