Travel to Dubrovnik
In summer 2019 my family and I visited Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia. This place made a big impression on me which I would never forget.
We got to the hotel in the evening and immediately went for a walk around the city. We reached the Dubrovnik Old Town which is known as one of the world's finest and most perfectly preserved medieval cities in the world. It is widely known for its fortress walls and dense urban development. There are multiple architectural monuments located inside the city, especially such as Stradun street, Rector's Palace, Franciscan friary, St Blaise's Church, Sponza Palace and of course magnificent Dubrovnik Cathedral.
We enjoyed a walk along Stradun Street, simultaneously exploring the surroundings. We visited the Franciscan Monastery, which was built 704 years ago, and its uniqueness consists not only in its beautiful decoration and altars, but also in its famous pharmacy, which is the third of the oldest functioning pharmacies in the world.
After that we visited the Sponza Palace which has a unique atrium and where the annual summer festival is held, and it also exhibits various paintings by artists not only of classical styles, but also modern paintings by artists.
On the last day we wandered around the city a bit more and sadly went to the airport. I did not want to leave at all, we really liked this city, its architecture, and museums. I will surely be back here again.
