Write a letter to the authority to report a missing item

Dear Sir, I am writing this letter to report a missing item. I was travelling by the Metro train from the Anna Nagar station to Ashok Nagar on 09th February 2021 between 10. 30 AM and 11 AM. I had my handbag with me when I boarded the train at 10. 30 AM at the Anna Nagar Junction. It came to my notice that my handbag was missing after getting down at the Ashok Nagar metro station. The train had already departed before I could quickly check the coach for my handbag. The handbag is small, brown in colour and is square in shape. My employer identification card with the unique identification number 7218 is in the handbag along with a few personal belongings and my wallet. I left the same behind in Coach number 2. Request you to kindly check and confirm if the same was handed over to the metro station authorities. I can be reached on my personal mobile 89018912.
