Hi May, How are you? I write a letter from Van Ban district ( the district in the Lao Cai province ). After COVID epidemic spread to the surrounding areas in Ha Noi, I decided to come back my hometown because I think it is a safe place will avoid epidemic well. Have you heard about Lao Cai? It is a province in Northwest Vietnam and about 250 kilometers from Hanoi to here. Lao Cai has a combination of rural and urban values which includes landscapes and mordern structures. The province is a true complex terrain, constituted by some valleys lying between hills and mountain. There is located Fansipan, which is the highest peak on Hoang Lien Son range. This peak is also the famous mountain peak in Vietnam, most attracts thousands of arrivals each year in Vietnam. Besides, this land is granted by the creator an admirable variety of biological treasures: rare bird and trees. Lao Cai has a tropical monsoon climate and is diverse in different time and space. There are 2 single seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. Especially in winter, you will be able to see snow in Sapa. With 25 ethnic groups you live in. It has created the unique identity of Lao Cao, making it an abundant land in the cultural identity, the historical tradition, and cultural heirtage. So people are really kind and helpful. Moreover, with the stunning beauty from famous scenic spots as Sapa, Bac Ha, Bat Xat, Muong Khuong and the clean environmental landscape, Lao Cai province is an ideal tourist destination. That's all I can say about my home village, in my opinion, my village is a wonderful place. When it comes to Lao Cai, in my heart I always feel so proud and I will proudly introduce to everyone my hometown. I love Lao Cai a lot and I hope one day, I can do something just to contribute to the development of my hometown. I would like my hometown will become a worth living city and attract many tourist in the future. I would be happy if you could visit here when the epidimic is over. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best wishes, Tinh.
