Hi Robert, Thanks for sending me a letter and tell me about the great news that your parents will have birthdays next month – 50 years for both. You asked me for advice about special presents for your parents. Your both ideas, organizing a surprise birthday party and taking them away to a hotel for the weekend, are very excellent. I agree with you that it’s difficult to find the best idea. I think that a surprise birthday party with a number of their friends is a fantastic option. You can book a café and decorate it with old family photos and special things. Also, you can invite a music band which sings favorite parents’ songs. But if I were you, I would take them away to a hotel. Especially, if you know about some romantic places they love to visit or would like to visit. I know some hotels arrange special programs for such events. So, you can create a program according to their hobbies and habits. I hope my advice will help you with a choice.
