Dear Fred,
I got a letter from you regarding the inconvenience that has been caused to you due to the incessant noise coming from my house.
You see, we have been renovating our place for last two weeks. We are remodeling our kitchen and repainting the entire house. It is my wedding anniversary next Monday, and I wanted to give my spouse a "new house" in present.
The noise you might have been hearing is from the kitchen as the workers are tearing down and rebuilding the racks, shelfs, and cupboards.
I want to thank you for bringing it to my notice the trouble our neighbors are having because of the renovation. I sincerely apologize for the nuisance caused and promise that I will take care of the problem.
To begin with, I will ask the workers to be more careful and avoid making unnecessary noise. I will also ensure that our new cupboards and racks are assembled elsewhere and hence reduce the use of hammer in the kitchen. Yet, I suspect there would still be some noise coming from my house for the next two weeks. We will take care to avoid the noise during odd times -- early morning, late nights, etc. I am sorry, but I would be very grateful, if you could bear with it until our renovation is over.
Your's sincerely,
Deeps
