The diagram above illustrate how cocoa beans become chocolate. The process consists of ten stages, begining with growing coco tree and culminating in the production of chocolate.
Cocoa is derived frm the coca tree which is grown in the South America, Africa and Indonesia. The pods of cocoa are picked when they are ripe and red.
Then cut red pods and the white cocoa beans are taken out from the pod. Afterwards, beans are fermented. Following a period of fermentation, cocoa beans spread on a large tray to dry under the sun
After dry, beans are loaded into large sacks and delivered to the factories by train or lorries. The beans are roasted at 350 degrees, after which the beans are crushed and removed their outer shell. Finally, by pressing the inner part of cocoa bean liquid chocolate is created.
