Dear Sir, First of all I would like to thank you for hiring me as an Associate Engineer in you company. I will give my one hundred and one percent to prove that you have made the right choice in selecting me out of all applicant. The reason I am also writing this letter I forgot to informed during the signing of contract that I am scheduled for an operation next week. I was diagnosed with a gallstones and according to my physician the surgery needed to be done as early as possible in order to avoid complications. He also advised that I need to a bed rest after the operation minimum of one month just to ensure the wound will heal accordingly. The doctor will only provide a fit to work letter only after I have completed the required bed rest. Attached in this letter my medical abstract and also the scheduled surgery.
