I am writing to you regarding the several complaints received from different visitors about the reception area and outlining few of my recommendations for the its improvements. One of the major complaint is that the receptionist is always busy and doesn't cater to visitors questions. There's always a long queue at the reception desk which makes some visitors get delayed for their respective meetings. Another common complaint is regarding the cleanliness of the reception area.
The reception area is the most critical area for any company because it gives the first impression about the organization. For example, if any investor is coming in and there's a long queue to get in with disorganization, it would give a bad impression about the company.
In my opinion the reception area is understaffed. There is only one receptionist who answers the phone calls as well as greets the visitors. If we add another staff member at the desk it would be helpful for her as well as it would reduce the long queues. Secondly, we should install more dustbins near the reception area. Currently there is no dustbin close to the reception, therefore when people are waiting in the queue with a coffee mug for example they tend to leave it at their seat instead of throwing it in the dustbin. This makes the area look very unclean. I believe these recommendations will help resolve some of the complaints.
