Dear Administrative Committee, I am submitting this motivation letter to support my application and express myself as the best candidate for Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2022 for admission in BSc Biology. I am Ahmad Bin Shahid hailing from Manchester of Pakistan, Faisalabad. I have seven siblings. I have a distinguished academic career. I did my Matriculation from Allied High School with 96% marks and FSc from Punjab College of Science with 89% marks in HSSC exams. I am a recipient of a laptop from Chief Minister Punjab and a PGC Merit scholarship. I regularly participate in extracurricular activities as well. I have been a meticulous student. My Family taught me that serving and the pursuit of excellence is the key to happiness. Thus I love to serve my peers, friends, and family in any way possible and for the same reason, I joined the amnesty international organization too. I also took part in extracurricular activities to hone my skills and shape my personality. I am an active participant in Debates, Hosting, Acting, and Sports. Being from a large family and my father being the sole earner, Money had always been an issue. Life has presented me with many obstacles but nothing was ever enough to stop me. I always find strength and persistence to keep moving forward. I do not lose hope. I have been giving tutoring since High School and also gained merit scholarships to support my education I was not always interested in biology. As a child, I wanted to become a pilot, but I saw my parents suffering from diseases such as hypertension and diabetes. To help my parents I asked my science teacher to help me understand these diseases. I learned the working of the heart and pancreas and grew a fascination with biology. I couldn't help but be drawn to the mystery that biology is. It was then when I decided to pursue a scientific career in biology as a researcher. The foremost reason why I want to pursue a career in biology is the research-related aspects. During my first year at Punjab College of Science, I opted for Pre-Medical to materialize my goals. I found my true calling in the biology lab observing specimens, performing dissections, and questioning my teacher and my curiosity only grew. I find it fascinating how organisms live, how their bodies work. Biology is a diverse subject and a growing field. Its importance has become evident during the Covid19 situation. Biology fascinates me but not more than genetics. For example, The double-helical structured DNA molecule codes our very existence and how genes carry inheritance. Studying them, one can unravel the history of humanity and discover the cause of so many ailments. From producing vaccines and rare drugs, tracing evolution to testing for damaged genes, and identifying criminals, biology has encompassed other scientific disciplines. Being a biologist is my goal. To better prepare myself for a future in biology I read scientific blogs, magazines, and participate in Biology Quiz Competitions and Science projects. Notable mentions are my biology projects showing a self-supporting ecosystem in a glass jar and muscular twitching after touching electro magnetized tweezers. After completing my HSSC from Punjab College of Science I found it difficult to finance my study due to covid crisis. That was when I heard about the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship from one of my friends. I also corresponded and interacted with students currently studying in Hungary, and I found them quite satisfied with the quality of education they are getting there and the financial aid they received is the opportunity I have been looking for. I also researched online and found out that Hungary is a great study destination for international students. I find it fascinating that this small country has more than 10 Nobel Prize winners. Moreover, Hungary is the cultural hub of Europe and to study here is truly a dream come true for me. I aspire to get this scholarship so that I can get new facts and realities of studying at an International Institute. It will be a great opportunity for my future career as my experience will be boasted. I have been saving money for a year to continue my undergraduate studies, this scholarship is likely to provide me with the prospect of studying at a reputed institute that is essentially out of my financial reach and help me to make a positive change in my life. For this purpose, I set the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Science and Technology(First Priority), and the University of Nyiregyhaza, Institute of Environmental Sciences(Second Priority) as the priorities of my study destinations for these institutions are highly rated for their programs in biology, the High number of international students and they do accept the certificate of English as Instruction Language. These universities have specific education and research profiles to provide academic research and knowledge transfer. I liked the study module offered which focuses on skills development and concept buildup required for a professional future. I researched the websites of these Universities and found out that they have State of the art classrooms, Laboratories, the largest libraries in Hungary, well-established programs in English, Bundles of notable alumni in the field of biology, and are included among the top institutes in Hungary. I have an intention to learn the Hungarian language to break language barriers. Hungary is rich in history and culture and By studying there I will learn and broaden my horizon at the same time I will also benefit from the Hungaricum Stipendium Scholarship having students from more than 180 countries and interacting with them will surely build lifelong relationships of trust, friendship and cooperation essential for world peace and equality. when scholars from different regions come together, I believe that they will be able to solve many issues or at least become able to understand each other’s narratives. After completing my degree, I plan to return to my country, Pakistan, and contribute to the development of my country with the valuable knowledge, skills, and aptitudes gained related to biology from Hungary. I believe that after completing my Bachelor's in Biology, I will get a high-paid job in my home country. Thereafter, I will pursue a Master's degree to further explore the field of Biology theoretically as well as practically. Along with that, I will share my experience as a Stipendium Scholar with my compatriots. I believe this scholarship program is not educating a single person but educating the whole nation and building a strong relationship between the nationals of so many countries. I am fully aware of how competitive the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship selection process is, but I am confident that my academic background and self-motivation make me well-suited for this program. Indeed, receiving admission constitutes a great responsibility and duty to work hard, and it would be an honor to commit myself to this opportunity.
