Dear Mrs Barrett, I am writing in response to your advertisement for needing someone to help you in your home. I am a college student in the town and I live alone, due to the fact my parents live in another city. Considering that no classes are held in the summer at the university, I have been looking for a job to do in vacation. I am free the whole summertime except the first ten days of August, the period I have planned to visit my family then. The reason I am looking to get occupied in the summer is the cost of living in this town. I get funds from the college monthly but it doesn’t afford all my expenses unfortunately. On the other hand, there is no time other than summer to work owing to the fact that I’m busy with classes and assignments during other times of the year. You may want to know how I can help you. I should say living alone made me learn lots of skills like repairing some of home stuff, painting, cutting grass, etc. In addition, I am familiar with the stores in the neighborhood and know where to buy your shopping list.
