Dear Mr Smith, I am writing to reschedule my interview with your organisation which has been scheduled to hold in two weeks. Although, I have related this to the Human Resource Officer, I deem it appropriate to communicate with you formally and to make you aware of my present predicament. Sadly, my cousin passed on few days ago after a prolonged battle with colon cancer. Unfortunately, the burial has been slated to hold on the 25th which is the same date as the interview. I am obliged to be at the burial with my family not only to show my last respect to him but to also support his aged mother. Although, this is obviously not a good start in my application, I am however still very much interested in working with Viral Technologies and I am more than willing to pour my years of experience working onshore into my role as a Vessel Technician in the company.
