presentation letter for university

To whom it may concern, Choosing a univeristy is one of the hardest challenge I have found myself in. Having to decide today what I am going to do the in future both scares and fascinates me, which is why I have spent most of my days looking for which might be the right path for me. I have always been intrigued by foreign countries, especially because I have had the opportunity to travel a lot and discover new places. As a kid, I remember wanting to communicate with everyone I met during my trips, but soon I had to face the different culture barriers that were raised between me and the people I met. Since then, I started realizing how important it was for me to be able to have a mean to share my ideas, my dreams, my experiences. I believe communication it is not a focused on one field only, it involves infinite moments lived in each of our days, therefore I wanted to find a degree that could orient me toward the different aspects of life. Other than already knowing Università Cattolica because my sister is attending the Digital media’s course, my choice on Università Cattolica, and especially on this degree finds its basis during my year abroad spent in Canada. More then the experience itself, I was captivated by realizing how magical it was to learn about the different customs and traditions. I have quickly shared my passion for food with my Canadians friends, showing them my Italian roots and I have soon discovered how delicious could be to have a porridge for breakfast. I have also had the oppurtinity to have international friends, coming from the most varied parts of the world. I met people coming from Germany, Asia, Malysia and many other nations. I have joined with them the international fashion course, which dealt with the history of fashion in each of our country, it was stimulating undersanding how each of us had a different perspective of what fashion is. I have shortly realized than more then communicating with my friend I wanted to know what made them proud to be Canadians, Asian… what distinguished them from anyone else. This is the reason why I would love to be in this programme, because I am sure it would give me the right key to understand in depth what makes each country special and different from any other. Personally I am truly excited for the consumption and consumers ethics’ course, since I feel nowadays it is truly important to understand how we affect the enviorment, communities, people by buying a certain product. I believe it is fundamental making a thoughtful choice when deciding which product to select. On the other hand, I believe the principles of management and accounting’s course might be the most challenging one for me. Coming from a language school I haven’t had the opportunity to deeply analyze statistics and accounting, therefore it might be challenging but I am looking forward to expand my knowledge and apply myself in this new enviorment. Having to explain myself in just 500 words it is hard, mainly because when writing a presentation letter you always have the feeling you haven’t said enough. I hope that having approached this step without neither ipcrisy nor prejudices could contribute to fully express who I really am.
