Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a dedicated promoter and an emerging young leader of South Asia-Afghanistan. Holding two degrees in engineering and horticulture, I devoted more than 8 years of my life in serving at humanitarian affairs in key positions of numerous national and international organizations. I have represented my country in UAE, Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and in spite of my job, I always try to create platforms for the advancement and shaping of young generations.
In 2018, a group of young leaders in Uzbekistan organized an International MUN Conference, where I was a part of the Afghanistan delegation. Oydinoy Khusanova was a delegate in the General Assembly. During Coffee break, we all got a chance to interact with each other. I was standing in a queue to get cookies when this girl in a classic outfit with an Uzbek national headwear bumped into me. She was so connected with her friend she was talking to, that she said sorry immediately, and went on her discussion on the Conference topic. I was amazed by her focus and decided to meet her in the next break. Fortunately, she turned out to be a great sociable person, and told me about herself. I was very proud of her when in this conference, she got the “Best Delegate” Award. We shared our contacts and kept in touch ever since.
I have known Oydinoy for almost 2 years now, and I am always inspired by everything she does. Uzbekistan charmed me right after my first visit. Right after the MUN, I gathered a team of most active young leaders in Uzbekistan and we started working on “Imperial International MUN”, where Oydinoy Khusanova was appointed the job of an SMM. She possessed great skills during her work in the organizing committee. In times of unexpected crisis, she easily handled the team and did the job of a copywriter and a content manager as well. I have worked with thousands of young people in different countries, but have never seen a 19 year old girl as active and dedicated as Oydinoy is. I have seen that most students feel demotivated in their studies and eventually put themselves in stress. She always inspires me by saying: “If you are busy with something useful all the time, there will be no time to get bored”. There are so many things which set her aside from others, but the most important one is her continuous cycle of learning. She never stops following her dreams and makes “LLL” (life-long learning) a concept of her life.
Oydinoy has become more than just a friend to me. Sometimes, she is my sister, my mentor, my advisor, and even my teacher! We keep each other updated on a daily basis and I am an alive evidence of all the work she has been doing in her community to empower women and sustain quality education. In 2019, UN Women and partners around the world marked 16 days of activism to end gender-based violence under the theme of “Orange the world- #HearMeToo”. Oydinoy was most probably the only one amongst my Uzbek friends who contributed to this movement, and continuously organized seminars for around 300 girls in different places of her region. She gave information on the topic “Women in STEM” and encouraged them to apply to international contests funded by organizations. She herself became the most active participant of "Technovation for Ferghana Valley" program and won a brand new phone, which is helping her in getting access to better information even faster than before.
Although she had many options abroad, she wanted to grow her society and contribute to their development, which is why she chose to study at the uzbekistan State World Languages University. She is committed to serving her community, and it can be seen how selflessy she works in order to be=ring change. I believe she has so much potential and I promise she can become a part of your family quickly.
If selected, Oydinoy will definitely contribute to the program. She is a very smart girl and I believe that other scholars will love her. She is very hard working and open to learning new things in life. Never afraid of asking questions is what builds her stronger. In my opinion, she is the best candidate for the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program.
I will be happy to discuss any matter about Oydinoy in private, if needed.
Sincerely yours,
Noman Qauymi
