I am Mark Lester Marte a law-abiding citizen of the Philippines, my wife Aileen Dulay-Marte who will start her journey as an international student in Canada this coming Fall Semester of 2022 in Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) taking up Post-Baccalaureate of Technical Management and Services. As her husband whom I spent one third of my life with her and together with my two-year-old adorable daughter (Margareth Alessia Marte) would like to apply for Open Work Permit and Temporary Resident Visa relative to wife’ application for Student Visa in Canada in order to support, provide assistance and be at her side during this endeavor as an international student. I am well-aware that the duration of our visa will only cover the time that my wife has in her study permit, and so I would like to assure your office that we will be leaving your country as soon as my wife completed her program taken at KPU as mandated by Canadian government.
We considered our family as a “tight-knit family” as we have never been away for more than a month even, thou I have received a numerous job offers from other countries previously such as Thailand, Japan and Singapore which eventually I have turned down. I always requested that the visa I should receive is for family status since I firmly believe that work should not be a reason to be separated to your family. This also is my wife first time to travel internationally which I knew will have impact to her due to the adjustments she needed to make which as husband should be at her side during this time. Lastly, considering my daughter is still a toddler we knew that the mother welfare and nurture should be present for her development.
My wife and I first met as a colleague in Denso Philippines (formerly known as Phil. Auto Components Inc. ) last January 2009. At first, there are no sparks between us as we only interact to each other as co-worker and nothing more. As the time progress and got to know more each other we eventually started to go out and eventually became an official couple last May 28, 2010. After dating for six years, we have tied the knot last May 28, 2016 which is also the same date as we officially became a couple. As a married couple we were blessed last October 2019 with a beautiful daughter.
I graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineer last 2007 from Mapua Institute of Technology. After graduation, I took and passed the licensure examination as a Registered Mechanical Engineer. Currently I am working at Fluor Daniel Inc. Philippines as Mechanical Engineer since October 2010 as a mid-senior level position. I also worked previously at PHPC Co. Ltd. Inc. from June 2008 to August 2008 and Denso Philippines from January 2009 to October 2010.
