Dear John, I hope you are doing well. I learnt from your previous letter about the disturbance caused due to the noise from our flat. I recently moved in to my new flat and found that the roof and tiles needed some fixing before I could arrange the things and settle in. This is the reason behind a lot of annoying drilling noise from my end. I am really sorry to cause this inconvenience to you and your family and I really regret not informing you upfront. As an action item, I will ask the workers to complete their work between 10 am and 5pm and I promise by the time to you come back from your office, you will have a serene evening to spend with your family.
